You might have heard of it even if you don’t have a car you have nothing to worry about as we will explain what window tints are.
What are Window Tints?
it’s a thin film that is installed in the interior of your car windows which darkens your windows to help protect against sunlight and UV radiation and improves the temperature inside your vehicle to a much cooler temperature making your long and short road trip peaceful plus your assisting the environment as tinted windows reduce carbon emissions as prolonged exposure from the sun can damage your skin.
There are various different types of tints available for your windows
we will start with the dyed tint it is cheap and reliable for a year it offers good privacy for your car but lacks in quality of protecting your vehicle from sunlight and UV radiation compared to other types of tints as its made from medium-grade plastic in some cases the plastic melts from the heat and the tint starts to fade which results in a nasty looking tint with little to no protection.
- cheap and reliable for a year
- it doesn’t offer excellent protection and fades within a year
Metalized Window Tints
metalized tints are a step up from the traditionally dyed tint as it offers much better protection from
UV radiation and sunlight its made up of particles of metals that reflect sunlight away from your car and keep the vehicle way cooler in temperature unlike its cheaper counterpart it does not fade and is reliable it even makes your windows slightly stronger however it does sometimes interfere with your phone signal as it contains metals.
- good protection from sunlight and UV radiation
- signal interference
Carbon Window Film
carbon tints are similar to metalized tints they are more on the expensive side and are better than all of the tints mentioned above as it has nanotechnology carbons inside it which tackle the signal interference issue above and are fade prove which technically means they virtually never fade like the dyed film plus it gives a good look on your car due to chemicals inside the carbon tint it is the darkest tint option available on the market and you can get it finished in matte.
- never fades no signal issue
- A little more expensive than metalized tint
Ceramic Window Film
ceramic film the godfather of all tints also uses nanotechnology but doesn’t contain any metals or carbon in any way, shape or form and offers the perfect protection against UV radiation and sunlight
it’s not as dark as carbon but the best tint on the market it’s expensive compared to any other type of tint but the quality you receive on your vehicle’s window is far more superior than the high price tag it has no-fade lifetime guarantee.
